Review 2024

I have attended the Upover/ Downunder meeting since it started...

… obviously, it lasts a week and provides the possibility of skiing in some very beautiful mountains. The format is generally more relaxed than other meetings, allowing discussion around the topics, rather than a series of didactic presentations. Colleagues who have attended, all recognised that the meeting was very informative because of this aspect.

The hotel accommodation is first class, and the dinner each evening is excellent. It provides a chance to socialise with the other delegates. Friendships are formed and many candidates return frequently as a result. Non-skiers can enjoy the local area with walks and coffee stops and trips to local towns and places of interest.

In summary, this meeting provides an excellent academic programme in a beautiful part of the world. I thoroughly recommend attending.

Review 2019

The beautiful Hotel La Cacciatora in Canazei Italy was the scene for the 16th Upover Downunder Meeting in the specialty for Otolaryngology / Head Neck Surgery. The contributions of the new attendees at the meeting was outstanding and gratefully received. Of course Prof. Andreas Leunig from Munich is the benchmark presenter, skier, photographer and catalyst for social integration.

Review 2018

The upover downunder Meeting was held again at the beautiful Hotel La Cacciatora in Canazei Italy. It was a beautiful scene where old and new friends came together for the specialty of ENT. The academic program for the meeting was excellent due to the willingness of attendees to present papers and participate in discussions.
